It's truly crazy how one decision can change the entire trajectory of your life -

Growing up, I showed my family Labrador Retriever in 4-H Obedience and Conformation. When I graduated with my first Masters degree I decided to reward myself with a purebred dog I could do dog sports with again. I began researching various breeds and finally settled on the Siberian Husky. I was attracted to their beauty (of course) but also I really appreciated a dog that could think for itself.

In early 2014, I found Karen + Dominic Potts of Jo-Kar Siberians who happened to have a litter sired by Fizzy, the top show siberian of the year. At the time I really wasn’t interested in showing and mainly wanted a well-bred companion to do obedience and agility with. Nate and I traveled to Ohio to pick up our puppy and when we were leaving with her, Karen mentioned that if we ever wanted to show her she was nice enough and to just let her know. I immediately enrolled Luna in various obedience classes and got to work on my obedience/agility dream. On the last day of the last puppy class, there was a moment where Luna was going around the ring and she was moving so effortlessly that I just decided on the spot that I wanted to try showing her.

That fall, I started showing and instantly became hooked. Less than a year later we added our second Siberian Husky, Ghost. I dragged Nate along to handing classes and shows for long enough that he eventually started showing them and now shows more than I do!

The Next Phase

The start of our very own breeding program -

We were very picky about starting our own breeding program because we wanted to start off on the right foot with really nice foundation dogs. We were not interested in just breeding dogs to breed them, but to preserve and better the breed. It took seven years for us to feel like we had what we were looking for and then we finally had our first litter.

"Simone" - 2024 Siberian Husky Club of America Brood Bitch of the Year, GCH Snoebear’s High Priestess is our foundation female. To us, Simone is the perfect combination of balanced movement, angles, work ethic, health and on top of that she has a phenomenal temperament. We have always joked that she is our “golden retriever” because she is super sweet and loves everyone and everything. As of early 2026, she has produced 1 Best in Specialty Winner, 1 Grand Champion, and 5 Champions. All of those children are exhibiting amazing drive in harness. Her three youngest are just hitting the ring now. She has been exactly the type of foundation we had hoped for and can’t wait to see where her children continue to take us in the future.

The Present

Our little dog hobby becomes a lifestyle -

In 2022, we traded in the cornfields of Indiana where we were both born and raised for a house in Northern, New Hampshire. Relocating gave us the ability to start training and racing our dogs in dog sled races.

In the fall we train as much as we can with a wheeled cart to build up muscle as much as we can when the weather is cool enough. In the winter, we train 4-5 days a week building up to around 18 or so miles by the end of the season. It is a huge time commitment that we are lucky to be able to do together. In the spring we go back to using the cart when it's not icy or super muddy. If we are planning a litter we plan them for spring/summer to not interfere with the winter sledding/racing season. In the spring, summer and fall we also attend a lot of dog shows all over the east coast and midwest to earn Championship titles.

These dogs are truly more than just our pets, our whole lives revolve around them and we are dedicated to giving them the most fulfilling lives we can.
